Muffulatta

Makes 2 sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4 slices crusty Italian bread
  • 1 recipe Olive Salad (see below)
  • 1/4 lb Fratelli Beretta Soppressata, sliced thin
  • 1/4 lb Fratelli Beretta Mortadella, sliced thin
  • 1/4 lb sliced fresh mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Brush both sides of sliced bread with the oil from the olive salad.
  2. First layer half of the Fratelli Beretta Soppressata on the bottom sliceĀ of bread.
  3. Then add half of the Fratelli Beretta Mortadella, followed by half of the Mozzarella.
  4. Top with olive salad.
  5. Place the top slice of bread on and press it down lightly letting the oil drip down the sandwich.
    The sloppier, the better.
  6. Repeat process with remaining slices of bread, meat, and cheese.
